Surface scanning success was dependent on model surface characteristics. Models printed in clear (a), white (b) and gray (c) resin were used for surface scan testing. Clear and white models were not successfully scanned, due to challenges related to scanning of transparent (clear model) and reflective (white model) surfaces. The model printed in the gray resin was successfully scanned, with the resultant surface model shown in (d). However, fine model features were degraded in the surface scan, such as the transcatheter aortic valve depicted in (e)
