Model Preparation. At top left, the raw blood pool is seen. Islands are selected (orange regions), removed, and the shell is wrapped (top right). A hollowed outer surface is created (bottom left), to which a myocardium is added (blue). These parts undergo Boolean union, and then are progressively trimmed to yield the final whole heart model (bottom right)
