The AP view (a) and lateral view (b) X-rays before surgery showed bone destruction at the lower end of the left humerus, discontinuous bone cortex, and slightly angulated. More clearly CT coronal scans (c) and 3D CT reconstructions (d) demonstrated the fracture line and suggested a visible soft tissue density shadow at the lower humerus with surrounding as well as subcutaneous soft tissue swelling suggestive of a pathologic fracture
