Figure A demonstrates a version of the fixed pin-to-block design interfacing with interlocking blocks to create an extension rod of expandable length. The Figure A inset image demonstrates how a wedge (red star) would be hammered between the interlocking components to make a secure fit. The flat broad pin on top of the components would be hammered in place to maintain the wedge fit and prevent torque forces
